I've been out of the loop on this one, but here goes ... Is there any (search engine/PR/ranking) value from links coming from a Wordpress.com blog site? The blog sites that are offered for free i.e.; your_site_here.wordpress.com IMO, i guess if they are indexed and have good content on them?
I _think_ that these are normal links that have PR juice and weight (if they are not in the comments, obviously, as those are nofollow). I've got a sitewide link on a PR6 wordpress.com and I suppose it helped my rankings.
yes they are normal links. example.wordpress.com is a sub domain of wordpress.com. Each subdomain is responsible for its own PR, there is no leakage like there is with a "wordpress.com/forlder/" setup. So a PR6 links from example.wordpress.com is as good as a PR6 link from exampledomain.com
each wp.com subdomain has it's pr and alexa..u can check mine http://targetlife.wordpress.com pr4 alexa 295,000
