Hey, I was wondering if there is a plugin out there that'd enable my blog's viewers to post their own articles which I then moderate and allow on the website or deny? If that makes sense? Thanks!
Of course you can do that, except they wouldn't be just viewers, they would have to log in and you can make that as painless as possible, even let them log in using their Facebook or Twitter Credentials. You can set permissions manually by going to each users account settings and changing their role to "Subscriber" "Author" "Contributor" and so forth..or you can check out the Role Manager Plug in which gives you a ton of options for permission settings with multiple authors and users. (sorry in a hurry, no time for links) . and then you can also search for "Wordpress Facebook Log in" or Twitter log in and you should get a healthy selection of plug ins that will let your users log in with those credentials.
You could set up an instance of TDO miniforms and set it to post to the blog in a given category. that way you can moderate them and they need not come from registered users of any kind. Very useful plugin actually Robbi.
Yip, a second vote here for TDO mini forms. Very easy to use and setup. I used this on a personal birthday website for a family member so friends could post birthday messages. You can also let people upload photos with TDO.
