Wordpress coding question...

    I am having an issue with a wordpress blog. On all of my posts, I include the "Split Page with More Tag." When I access the posts from my main page, the "more" tag appears. When I click on categories, my posts do not have the tag. I can't find where I need to insert that function on the theme editor. Any ideas?
