Wordpress CMS for Article Directory

Hi,

I was wondering if I can use Wordpress CMS to launch my own Article Directory. I read it about few days back and also say 1 site with WP cms but the layout was not catchy. I mean it was not looking like an article directory, it was looking like a blog.

Please let me know if I can customize Wordpress CMS to make it look like a real/professional article directory.

By the way, by the looks of article directory, I mean that all articles should be shown in their respective categories...

 

if you want to custome worpress with your design..
you must undestand CSS and HTML

Does anyone have more suggestions regarding free article script or to go for Wordpress article script?

 

You can have certain pages displaying posts from a certain category by using a nice bit IF code which checks the page thats currently displaying and then serves up the relevant articles.

Wordpress is easily flexible enough to do what you want it to do, its just a case of if you have the time to put the work in.

Thanks, but I already downloaded the WP Plugin and I will try it soon. But still, I have few confusions as from where I have downloaded the plugin, there were many comments about users and they were having problems in managing the plugin.

Do you have a personal experience of using this WP plugin? Right now I am getting use to ArticleMS. Does ArticleDashboard provide free themes? But what would you rank better, ArticleMS or ArticleDashboard?
