Wordpress change to SEO Friendly URLs Question

I am getting a lot of traffic currently from my blog entries being on multiple forums.

For some reason, I had failed to change the structure of the permalinks to SEO Friendly URLs and I'm afraid that if I do it now, all the pages will go to 404 Page Not Found Errors.

How can I prevent this from happening?

You can do it, jsut be sure to set up a 301 redirect in your .htaccess file. You'll have to find someone else to tell you how to do that specifically. I'm not too good at apache rewrites.

Looks like the newest version of wordpress redirects to the the newly created post slugs.

    Awesome.
