Hello All! I have a few wordpress blogs. For example: forexeducationalweb.com your-magic-money.net creditcardedu.info And if you test those sites you can see that forex and magic money are opening very very very slowly.CreditCardEdu is very fast. On all blogs i have super cache plugin and plugins i need. No whatever plugins. All blogs are on the same hosting. So i don't know what to do, to be my blogs faster ! It's bad for me, that i have so slow blogs. Is there anything i can do ? Please Help !! Thanx! Zaay
I only checked the forex one, and that has 1238664 bytes = 1.18MB of pictures! That is absolutely, incredibly, way over the top, at least 1MB too much. That is the reason why it is loading so slowly, on a 56K modem it takes 288.32 seconds to load, nobody wants to wait that long. So first point is to see if you can get rid of some images, compress all images which are necessary for the website to function and download Yslow for Firefox and follow the advice given.
Hmm ! Ok, that's good advice ! I am searching for plugins taht does that... What can u suggest me ? ( It's maybe my designer stu*** ? He create design like that, i don't even know ehere .css files are )
Yslow: http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/, be sure to read everything here http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/help/ as well. You need Firebug as well, but it is all explained in the files. As for image compression, I use http://www.gold-software.com/download8382.html, but there are many other free tools available. Just search in Google for "yslow for firefox" and "compress image".
So in FireBug i see which images are opening to slow and then compress them ? And also see erors in firebug and fix them. But i don't know why feed icon which is 4KB opens in 221ms ?? That's too big. And date icon 16x16.580 MS !!
There's also an extension for Firefox called YSlow. It can give you interesting details why your site loads slow, and also suggestions.
