    Will this work?

I want to increase the ranking of my main kids toy site. SO what I will be doing is buying 10-20 domains that are specific to one type of toy category, and create a wordpress blog for each one, and I will be posting a new post every 3 days for each one.

I will also be hosting each domain on a diferrent database, so I don't get that penalty from Google. And I will be interlinking all of my blogs and main site together.

Is this a good way to...

    Increase PR
    Improve SERP
    Get Backlinks
    Increase Traffic

    ????

I believe this will be the best way to accomplish all of those goals. What do you guys think?

Also, If I make posts with affiliate links to Amazon, will that hurt my SERP's?

You want to build up your own blog network? If yes then it's good but it takes much time before your blogs get trusted rank from Google. You have to make sure each blog you hosted is in difference class C ip and not too much close in geo-location. You have to post consistency on your blogs with unique contens in it's own for a year and you have to promote all blogs altogether. If you have time, money, workforce to do then I suggest you should do.

For interlinking, You should do as 3-4 ways interlinking. I don't think it's good to interlinking all of them altogether, even they are hosted in different host. That should be some generic pattern which may easy to be caught by Google. (my assumption)

So I can't host them all from one host, like BluHost? Even if each blog is on a different network?

Yes you can but make sure there is different "class C" or even "class B" ip, not just different IP. However, even they have different class C ip but they are still be closed for each other in geo-location terms. If you can grouped them as separated and host each group on different hosting provider may be better. :D (Each site on each hosting must have different class C ip either)

What does it mean to have a different class C IP? And is that something I will know before I sign up for hosting?
