I lost my Google Pagerank from PR2 down to PR1 on my running site. I was happy to be at PR2 in less than one month. Any ideas why it dropped?
duplicate content and a bad linking strategy might be the culprit. My homepage stood at PR4 since the August PR update and after this recent, many of my internal pages got PR4 as well. My blog link is on my signature. Let me know if I can help you.
Yes, a couple of weeks ago, I used WP Robot to add recipes to my site every few days. I also copied and pasted 3 local races in my area. Should I delete this content from my website? I was thinking of using WP robot on one of my other sites but now I'm rethinking it. WP rave about how good WP Robot is but I am seeing no benefit and if it lowered my Google PR, well, then it has been detrimental.
well delete it if it's not unique...google doesn't like duplicate sites nowadays.and better rewrite those recipes into unique ones...the sooner the better..try to use more of social network that google emphasizes after the panda update
It could be due to a number of factors like the keywords you're ranking for or the quality of your links. You might want to check those. It could also be a side effect of the Google Panda.
There is no relationship between wordpress and Google page rank...here are few very important factor that may affect your website page rank: - Quality of content (unique, fresh and updated) - Thematic backlinks from higher PR pages (PR is distributed from one page to another page so if you get links from higher pr page...you will also get PR in next updates)
I feel good about these comments. I have been working on a site for someone and my posts have decreased as well as a few dupe content in the last 2 weeks. I appreciate all of the advice.
While removing the dupe content also add new content, not just short 100 word articles but good articles. A couple more related PR follow links to your site would help.
