Wordpress Blog Loads too slow

So my wordpress blog is loading too slow. I have been putting pretty big pictures on it and lots of them...but it takes forever for it to load up... On other blogs with the same picture size and quantity, they load a lot faster.

Is there a way so that when it loads you don't have to wait for the entire site to load before you can start viewing it?

Or am i doing something wrong??? Should i get better hosting? I know i am getting like 500 to 900 veiws a day... so is my bandwidth slowing it down? What must i do to have a faster site? Any ideas?

    much advanced thanks.

It can be a problem of your hosting or can be a simple issue. I would recommnd wp-cache plugin to ease weight on your database.

It might also be that your site have too much widgets etc, those will slow down your loading time too

wp-cache plugin can really speed up loading, use lighter images and less javascript

all of the above - and just compress your images a bit more - maybe shrink them then link them to the full sizes - or install a script that caches thumbnails :D
