I have been using Genesis Framework for my blog Blogete.com. The problem is that it is loading very slowly. Is there any way to make it load fast?
Try optimizing your images. http://gtmetrix.com/reports/blogete.com/4RBGe9QQ Also, you can try changing your theme to see if you notice a big difference in speed. If you do, then chances are your theme is bad. If you have a lot of plugins, you can try disabling each one by one and see if you notice an increase in speed.
Use a caching plugin. It will definitely make your blog load faster. If you are hosting company is responsible, you can shift to another host. This often happens if the server is overloaded.
I checked with pingdom and it seems it is not that bad: "Your website is faster than 64% of all tested websites" But if you want to improve the speed try to delete all unused files like plugins, unused themes, other files you might be having in your website folder.
- Which pages load slow? - Where is it hosted? - How many plugins do you have installed? It loads fine for me.
in fact the homepage load very fine for me too, take a bit longer for pages and posts but at least it's good ! Maybe it's a hosting problem or maybe you should delete your Web browser cache and try again !
it is hosted with hostgator. I *had* to move my sites away from them as they were that bad. The sites will fly once you move elsewhere.
I would suggest using WPEngine. They are the only host that I have found that can handle WordPress sites efficently. Their customer service is top notch! Check them out -> WPEngine.com
