Wordpress blog how where to add google analystics code?

    Hi !
    I got Wordpress blog but can't figure out where could i add the code and it could trackk my main page visits etc? Downloading header.php in my theme and insert it there via notepad? Would that work ?

    Either header.php or footer.php is okay.
