I just started using Wordpress instead of the traditional website to save time with updates. I have been very cautions to turn all of my sites to blogs, because I'm worried that googleBOT will not see the same content due to all the JavaScript being used with WP. Can anyone tell me if the WP is SEO safe? and does the GoogleBOT have any problems with WP blogs? Thanks. Red Lobster Menu
WP is probably the best way to go it's very SEO friendly with all the SEO plugins available. My main money site is WordPress based.
wordpress can be very SEO friendly with only few simple tweaks. if you want, you can upload and activate all in one seo pack for wordpress also
As SultanOfSEO said, using All-in-One SEO Pack for your WP site can fix a lot of its shortcomings. The theme you select is probably the thing that limits you the most. Thesis is my favorite Theme and is SEO friendly out of the box. I use it for my blog straight out of the box, and am very pleased with it. I don't use any SEO plugins on my site and have total control of custom <title>, custom meta descriptions, custom meta keywords, custom excerpts, I can NOINDEX or NOFOLLOW any type of page on the site, etc.
I have a few wordpress sites installed and running. I have been happy with them so far. I am running "All In One SEO" on all of the wordpress installs I have up. Canonical mentioned Thesis. I like the theme and plan to use it for an upcoming install I have to do. From what I have read about it the theme seems to get the job done.
Google loves Wordpress! New wordpress sites usually get indexed within 24 hours. Not 100% sure how Google does this, but there is an internal ping that wordpress does when you update your site.
I set a second site with WP. Used the all in one SEO and I can not beleive how quick it is getting indexed. Pages on my other sites that had no chance of getting into quickly quickly have been indexed within 48 hours. I also set up a joomla site which is getting indexed quickly however WP definitely for ease of use and flexibility
Wordpress FTW! It's a great way to test out new site material without forking over the money for private domains. Also it's an easy way to put keywords directly into your URL.
