hey guys. i started my affiliate website for a product http://www.increaseyourverticalhq.com/ (there are affiliate links on that website, im trying to be transparent) its been live for 2 days or so and im not quite indexed by google yet. i've read conflicting research. MY AIM: -organic traffic, when someone searches the keywords im trying to rank for i want my site to be number one -targetting traffic, forum posts on relevant forums, bodybuilding, sports, etc HOW IM DOING IT: -im trying to build backlinks all over the place, i don't understand nofollow/dofollow yet but a link is better than no link. -im posting my website on social bookmarks and using BMD -im posting my website onto hubpages/squidoo [STILL TO DO] MY QUESTIONS: 1. Is my website design going to make it hard to rank? I only have two effective pages. I've tried to rewrite the content as much as possible so its original. 2. Would it better to revamp the entire thing and use a wordpress kindof thing and blog about my product im trying to promote and such? What is the deal with that? Im considering leaving my current site and starting another one with wordpress in another niche and seeing how they both do over a few months. I just want some professional opinions on the matter. Thanks
1) It is not necessary that your site will be indexed as you launch it. New sites and especially affiliate sites take time to get indexed. There is no specific time range. 2) Since you only have 2 pages on your site it is quite difficult for it to build the authority in the eyes of Google. 3) Changing any site to Wordpress is a good option but you need to have the sufficient content and must obey the Google guidelines. Try making these pages, very marketable but in the sense of not spammy. But still continue to promoting and link building. And see what happened.
