Wordpress Automatic Upgrade put my server down

    Hello,

    I have one question, whenever i upgrade Word press from its admin panel with upgrade button it put massive load on my server and memory usage goes to 100%. My question is why is this so? Is there any special setting which I have to made before proceeding the automatic upgrade process?

    That is strange, never heard of it doing that. Are you on VPS, dedicated or shared hosting, if so how much memory do you have?

    Best thing to do is to just upgrade manually

    Maybe you have less ram on resources on ur server coz from what i know what automatic upgrade does it downloa the latest zip extract it then replace your current files with new site and update db

    Well I am on Dedicated server, its dual core with 4 GB of Ram, Yeah I have upgraded it manually but why its not upgrading with automatic upgrade.

    Look into using SVN instead. There's a couple of walkthrus on the wp codex. It's something you'll have to set up yourself but it works a lot better then using the automatic upgrader.
