WordPress and your host

If you use WordPress may I ask who your host is? Is it slow? Do you ever notice time outs?

I'm with dathorn.com and I more often than not experience time outs when I try to edit/create posts. This is very random and happens throughout the day. Have you experienced this?

This delay is probably caused by pinging not by your host. Try the no ping wait plugin.

I'm with godaddy, and I haven't had any problems. I don't have the no ping wait plugin either.

Are you using a lot of plugin's/images/ads? This may happen because the preview may take time to load and hence.. timeout!

I have 13 blogs hosted in 1 account

    www.servage.net

Its very speedy and reliable! I also have go daddy, netfirms and dot5hosting. But...i don't really like them. Go daddy is ok but...sometimes they are pain!

Try servage.net! Use coupon code - "everythingfree" to get 5 GB extra space.

I had the same problem some time ago. Ended up being a problem with pinging one of the sites in my list. Removed the offending site and everything went smooth.

do not use godaddy.com.. it is a disaster.. again, do not use godaddy.com.. stay far away.. luckily i only signed up for two months and I can now transfer without losing a bunch of money.. look into hostgator.com

I have to say that I have been happy with hostgator. Using them for close to 2 years now.
