Hi all, I have a problem with wp-o-matic for Wordpress. It seems like no matter what RSS source I supply, it only extracts an excerpt of the text, not the whole actually story... how do I make it extract the whole story? example: http://www.xian-travel.info/2009/05/chinas-first-emperor-banned-buddhism-claims-expert/
Yep, most rss feeds only contain a snippet of the full article because they want people to come to their site to read the rest of the story. There are several article directories which publish full articles to their rss feeds, but you'll have to do some research to find out which ones do. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is http://www.articlespan.com/rssbuilder.php HTH, Tamara
Hi, exactly as Mizaks said, many sources might not send the full article in their feed. What you can do to see how the feed is going to be received by WP-o-Matic is to try your feed URL here: http://simplepie.org/demo/ You should know that in a few days a new version of WP-o-Matic is being released (WP-o-Matic 1.5). A lot of RSS Fees in certain niches will no provide you the entire article as stated. Many of the feeds I pull work just fine for full articles. I have a bigger problem with the RSS feeds pulling consecutively and causing my host to be unhappy when I tie up the server
Unfortunately, to find article directories which publish the full article to their rss feeds, you'll have to search for "article directory" in your favorite search engine. Then you'll have to look at each article directory's rss feed to see if it includes the full article. If there's an easier way or a directory which features rss feeds with full articles, I haven't found it. HTH, Tamara
