    Hi,

I have a celebrity pictures blog based on Wordpress but all my posts are in supplemental results, all the titles are different and I also installed a Meta tag plugin so they are all different too and unique - Anyone had experience with this before and know what to do?

    Thanks

I don't know if it's just WP or not but I got most of my pages moved to supplemental 3 days ago and it sucks. I was making $100-$140/day with 4k - 5k uniques a day.

I had unique description meta tag and also used Ultimate tag warrior showing relevant side wide tags on posts. I just updated my robots.txt file incase there was a duplicate content problem to this:

    # All robots will spider the domain

    # Disallow directory /cgi-bin/
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /cgi-bin/

    User-agent: Googlebot
    Disallow: /*/feed/$
    Disallow: /*/feed/rss/$
    Disallow: /*/trackback/$
    Disallow: /?
    Disallow: /index.php?

I dont know if that will help you but it might. I also use Google sitemaps on this site too.

Yep, its happening on nearly all my sites and its annoying me, every page is unique, title, meta, content etc, only thing that isnt is the navigation menu and if they are putting sites into supplemental based on navigation menus being sitewide then Google have lost the plot.

Wish someone fromGoogle would just come out and explain things and seems people with 100% unique content etc are being put in there.

Makes me want to stop doing sites if nothing I do helps as without Google I cant do very well.

    Ill try that too, thanks.

This is biting me badly as well, some of my sites have gone partially supplemental but traffic from Google has nose dived.

yeah I had the same problem.

I started a new blog in August and things were going well for a month or so until Google started indexing my empty comments pages (or the urls anyway), the strange redirects from my trackbacklinks, and the monthly archives.

Even though each article was unique, there were "duplicate content" problems with postings appearing via my blog homepage, monthly archives and blog categories ie the same article and comments would appear via all those links. Then there was maybe similar a content problem via the RSS feeds for articles and comments - the whole thing was a mess of links and suddenly turned supplemental.

I just kept going and eventually things stabilised after I built up a few months worth of postings. I'm sure that if you just keep going; yours will sort itself out too.

    Cheers,
    Paz.

Yeah, I am thinking it might be because the site is basically new (Month old) and hasnt got many backlinks yet (Only 6 or 7 hard trade links)

Least I am hoping it's that.
