I am having a headache here trying to figure this out so I hope someone can help me. I have a WordPress blog hosted at www.thisdomain.com which I have now moved to blog.thisdomain.com, the reason for this is because I want to replace the WordPress in the root folder with a phpLD directory (in other words, turn my domain into a full-fledged directory). Now the problem here is, how do I redirect people from the old url post, .e.g.http://www.thisdomain.com/2007/05/19/black-diamond-jewelry/ to http://blog.thisdomain.com/2007/05/19/black-diamond-jewelry/ using htaccess? And is it possible to do this without compromising my phpLD installation? If it is not possible, then I would be content with just a redirect from www.thisdomain.com to blog.thisdomain.com for individual posts using htaccess. Please do help, thanks!
you have to write a general rule to redirect from www.dom.com/old_post to blog.domain/post, but if you have url similar with old_post, can be a problem on redirects.
