I really never thought about it before, but working on wordpress, one doesn´t need any FTP.
It´s as simple as "upload" (e.g. for images), previously, I was transfering pics to my wordpress blog via FTP and then uploading them again (!!!!???), but today i had some problems with it and tried just to upload and it worked...

I had that feeling (beeing similar to working with blogger) but never tried it...

    It´s hard to be a newbie sometimes:rolleyes:...

Well, maybe this post helps someone else.

yup. wordpress has a built in upload files mechanism which make it more easier to the user to upload their files or images through the website.

    Cypher,

now that i´m thinking about it:

how do you do when you need to upload a banner to the header(e.g.)?
as it isn´t a post, but it´s under the "presentation>theme" can i still use the upload feature?

you can't do that if you want to transfer theme fils. the upload function is use to upload files for your posts/entries. ;)
