    Guy i am trying to make a website on WP which will feature some photographs from local upcoming photographers.

    Now i was thinking of using NextGen Gallery for it, but i am confused if there is any way one can show NextGen gallery whenever someone visits the site ?

    Yes you can, depending on how you want to do it.

    NextGen gallery comes with sidebar widgets where you can display random images, slideshows etc. If you want it on the main page, you can create a static page and use the template tags it supports;

    Thanks a lot. Interesting read there. I have thought around a lot and i don't know whether NextGen Gallery can be used for the projects i am doing. What i want to do is:

    1. Use wordpress and nextgen gallery (which i think cant be used now due to some limitations)
    2. when someone visit the www.mysite.com it shows the LATEST[/B ]gallery thumbnails from all the albums / categories and in sidebar shows the album categories of NextGen gallery
    3. When someone clicks on the category it takes them to the album page and shows each thumbnail in that category with sidebar etc.
    4. When clicked on that thumbnail it it takes the person to the image page with sidebar and download link.

    I will try to find if i come across such site.

    To answer your first question. You can simply setup your Gallery on a page and set that page to be your home page.
    The other sounds like a combination of a Category Thumbnail plug in and Next Gen, but I'm not sure, I use Next Gen only on one site and use the very basic features.
