Wordpress and getting pages indexed

    Hi,

I'm using wordpress for a blog I added to my site and while all subjects are related to my niche they still do not get indexed properly.

Just the mainpage from the blog is indexed. This page though is even shown as the second page when people search for my main keywords and several others.

currently ranked 8th on Google US

All other pages from my blog are supplemental results. Anyone else have or had this problem?

Couple of suggestions - fire up these plugins:

    Head Meta Description
    Jeromes Keywords
    Google Sitemaps

Also put a link to your xml sitemap in the footer.

I've had good results with these

    Hope this helps

The blog is about 6 months old now I think.
    All content is unique.
The content is added in my sitemaps

I'm not using the meta tags though. I will try and use that. All titles are different though.

    Thanks for the tips

I guess I do. The blog's main page shows as a second result under my home page when people search for some of my keyphrases.

Or if you mean if I changed the dynamic url's, than yes I did.

    http: //www.site(dot)com/blog/2006/07/29/subject-title/

When I looked at the indexed results again I think it has something to do with the descriptions, head tags that I did not use.

I am now updating all posts with the head meta's bwp58 suggested...

Thanks for thinking with me. I appreciate it :)

I would also suggest making an "Archive Page" to go along with your sitemap.
