I am running Wordpress version 2.7 Some comments that are posted by visitors under our posts are not showing up on the front end or back end. They seem to be disappearing. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind if they do/do not show up. Sometimes when I respond to a comment in the comment box it appears and sometimes it doesn't. I have also gotten email complaints from visitors saying their comments aren't showing up. Here is what happens: Name, Email and URL are filled in correctly. I post the comment and hit submit. The form resets but the comment does not appear in the moderation que in the back end and does not show up on the front end. I have also tried signing in on the back end (super admin) and then visiting the site. I am then automatically signed in when I go to leave a comment. I pasted the same response in the comment box that 'disappeared' and when I hit submit, I get the following message: DUPLICATE COMMENT DETECTED; IT LOOKS AS THOUGH YOU'VE ALREADY SAID THAT! This tells me that the comments are going into the database, just not showing up. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out a solution for it? Thanks in advance for your input.
