also using 2.7 Good for blogs, but can be a small performance problems with big db. Posts, Comments, images, files must be cached =)
I'll recommend using the following plugin with 2.7. Its the OZH Admin dropdown plugin. It puts the menu at the top. Maybe its a personal thing, but I prefer/find it more handy, to have the menu up there. Check some screenshots: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ozh-admin-drop-down-menu/screenshots/ Enjoy!
I must admit that the new layout for the admin area is cool and once you get the hang of it is actually a nice addition. I like the auto install feature for the plugins maybe this has always been the case but I never saw it before. Overall the only con I can see is the drastic admin layout from the older versions to 2.7 but I like it a lot none the less.
I found three interesting features so far, #1.Quick edit #2.sticky post #3.update plugins directly from admin panel rather than ftp is there something I missed ? very nice !
I remade some sites using an almost vanilla WP 2.7... the *ONLY* thing that would make life simpler is if WP could handle multiple sites.
I really appreciate the new version of Wordpress. Writing artciles and saving them as drafts are not taking too much, i usually do that process before going to bed and on next morning the first thing I do is preparing those drafts for posting.
Im not using it. I've made too many customizations to change, and my philosophy is "if it isn't broke, don't fix it". WP 2.6 works great for me- I have no reason to change anything.
Yes i'm using WP 2.7 and this is the 1st time i ever using it. I like the akismet plugin which automatically integrated when you install it
I hate that plugins show up in three different places. Sometimes you have to look for your plugin options. vs. 2.6 they were always in settings. No biggie though, worth the upgrade.
i am using wordpress 2.7 since the beta version of 2.7 released , i love this on beacause it have tons of good features .
