I use the automatic upgrade plugin so updating isn't that big of a deal for all my blogs.

I cannot get that damn thing to work. It always fails on trying to put my blog into maintenance mode.

Anyone have a fix for this?

I still haven't even updated to 2.6, just don't see where the rush is... I might as well wait for 2.7 to save myself the time :)

I'm quite derelict, I didn't even make the jump to 2.6 from 2.5.1 yet

    Hi guys,
It might be gd idea that you guys din upgrade. Before I upgraded to 2.6.2 earlier this morning, everything was working fine. I understand the need to upgrade for sql problems, but after i upgraded i encounter several problems.

    1) stuck at html editor
I cannot switch over to visual editor now.

    2) after i save every change, it will lead to a blank page
After i edit anything at all, like activate, deactivate plugins, or edit post, etc, now it will lead to a blank page. When i click the back button, i find that the change is updated, but it is definitely annoying to see a blank page instead of the normal stuff.

Anyone can help me on this? I mean i can live with facing a blank screen and using html editor as long as things still move, but i prefer it to be better!

Or anyone can suggest how to roll back to previous version?

Did you backup your Wordpress files? If so, rolling back should be quite easy. Delete all your WO files and restore your backup via cPanel using the backup option.

    thanks for the warning!

there's probably a 5 step process to roll back :p

hopefully you made a backup before the upgrade?

I use a really nifty plug in "BackUpWordPress", but as far as executing a roll back I've never done it sorry.

    hi all,
    managed to solve the problem.

basically after i used mysql to restore db and it still din work, i conclude that for me it must be 2.6.2 that is causing havoc.

So i basically just use fantastico to uninstall and then reinstall wordpress, then after that, upload my plugins and themes, and everything is back to normal...pheww...

and fortunately fantastico default version is still 2.6.1 and everything is solved
