The latest release of all those you listed are working with 2.5.1, as I am currently using all 3 on two of my blogs. Cheers
The header error happened on my first install using the automatic upgrade script. So what i did was just overwrite it by installing it back to 2.5 with fantastico and then upgraded again to 2.5.1 and it worked the 2nd time. Actually I just upgraded 13 different sites to 2.5.1 again but this time trying again with the automatic script it went flawless after that. I think the first problem happened because I used the manual steps option instead of automatic in the upgrade script and I missed a step or something. Like someone said earlier i thinkt its if you don't deactivate the plugins before hand.
I have all of those on one of my blogs and it works fine www.imixremix.com ...on another I have the same plug ins, same template, and the blog is down. I don't know why or what the difference is. www.124bpms.com If anyone has any insight please share, it's been down 2 days, and I can't seem to get the theme to load. I have tried everything.
Hmm, without seeing the content of files, database and plugins, any answer will be a stab in the dark, tbh.
It has to be the theme. every other blog I have running on wordpress 2.5.1 is working fine. The admin functions are fine too...it's just that the blog will not load, but it works fine on another blog. And yes, the other themes work fine as well on the blog.
I doubt this will fix it, but in your admin CP - go to Settings, and ensure your blog has a name and description - the offending code appears to be caused by a non-existing description causing further errors in the script.
It seems as if my host is attempting to restore a back up right now, maybe i will get this solved...right now he is getting error messages in the old wordpress install.
I got my blog back, minus the categories, and the CSS Changes, but it's back. I can put it back together in about an hour. GD 2.5.1....Just put me through hell, and behind 3 days on posts and press releases. On the good side, it seems as if Google gave me back some of my PR, back to a 3...not the 4 I had, but better than the "0" they stuck me with on the last update. Oh well.
Usually what I do is test the theme on a test installation or one of my low traffic sites that uses the same theme. If something goes wrong I can fix it before it going live on my most important sites.
good way , for me I didn't upgrade yet am too lazy and afraid to get trouble in script after upgrading and I dont have time to fix anything
I just hope there won't be a time that the new wordpress (like 3.0) will be incompatibile with most of the current themes. Luckily that hasn't been the case so far.
Hey, Is there anyone who has upgraded from 2.3.3 to 2.5? I am delaying my upgrade as am a bit clueless on how to do the same without dataloss... Especially because I have changed too much in my wordpress code itself. Ajith
