Wordpress 2.5.1 posting problems

I wanted to know if anyone here is having the same trouble saving posts that I do. I found others complaining about it on the Internet, but no solutions.

When I click save, it just hangs until I get a blank screen and the post does not get saved. I'd say this happens about 90% of the time. Anyone else having such problems?

Could be a plugin issue, like Smart Update Pinger or a Social bookmarking plugin. Try deactivating one plugin at a time and check. Or deactivate them all and see if it fixes it. Then activate one at a time to find the culprit.

My wp 2.5.1 doesn't hang when I click save, but has its own peculiar problem. Whenever I click on the write post button, it takes ages to load and almost hangs right before loading completely. Then I get a warning message..see screenshot:

The normal write screen appears immediately after I click stop or continue..it doesn't matter which.

It also has some strange problems with uploading image. Even after using the fix. Any ideas, when the next update is available?

Yea, the thing with me is I've had the same problem with three different blogs (fresh installs) and different plug-ins. I can only guess it must be Godaddy hosting since they've all been hosted there.

Not having any issue whatsoever. Are you using tiny mce advanced? If so, then deactivate it and try again.

I have no problems whatsoever. WP 2.5.1 works like a charm.

Are you sure the problem isn't with your theme, webhost, or a browser you are using?

Try another browser to see if you'll be experiencing same problems.
Also try switching to the default Kubrick theme and check.

Well it looks like risoknop solved my problem. I always use FF. I hate IE. The saving is a bit slow in IE, but it does work.

I have just started using WP 2.5, and I find that I cannot upload images to my blog. It just says there was an error. I upgrade to the latest versions through my host, using Fantastico, and they have not got 2.5.1 yet. I don't know if 2.5.1 will fix the problem, but I am wondering about reverting to the older version, which seemed to work fine.

    Any suggestions?

this is what it says -

    HTTP error.

An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

How are you uploading images? Via Wordpress?

Try uploading them via FTP - that should always work.

Try uploading this .htaccess file to your wp-admin folder.

This should fix the uploading problem.

Reverting to older versions is not a good idea because of security holes in them. You don't want to compomise your blog, do you?

yes...never ever use GoDaddy hosting...it is horrible and that explains why you are having the "hanging issue". One of my clients had the same problem and when she changed hosts, it stopped.

GoDaddy is a great domain registrar..(I use them for that, and only that)
