Well I've been hearing a lot of good things about Movable Type 4 being much better than Wordpress, lately, but I wanted to make sure what you guys think. I know MT3 was much worse than WP at the time, but many bloggers are saying now that MT4 has many improvements since then, so it would be great if someone mentions who is actually using it.
I use WP for personal blogs and MT at work. WP is better in my opinion. MT is great if you want to run multiple blogs from one admin backend, but WP excels in every other area.
I've never used Movable Type, but WordPress has been nothing but fantastic for all of my needs; so there is no reason to try their competition.
Well , never used MT . So cant say its better than WP , but the fact the ive heard MT just a few times clears everything out
Seems like Movable Type really competes with Drupal and not Wordpress. WP is just a blog software and reading on the MT site, it is more than just a blog. I want to check the features of MT in live sites.
You may want to take a look at this post by Shoemoney: http://www.shoemoney.com/2007/08/15/moveable-type-4-released-does-anyone-care/ Pretty much says it all
Does anyone here use MT??? What's the difference between the two? I've been using WP for some years and think it's one of the best software available.
Well, I don't think voting here means something, its purely for a comparison only, because most of the people voting, haven't really used MT more seriously. What made me post this thread was a blog post by this guy: http://www.cmswire.com/cms/micro-cms/10-reasons-to-go-movable-type-40-vs-wordpress-23-001736.php I haven't really used MT personally, but that post really got me thinking
