Anyone using any of these with success on 2.1.1???

SmartRSS does not give full feed but only the short version with "more" link

WP-Autoblog does not pull images or links from the body of the feed

FeedWordPress messes up the outbound links within the feed body

ANY HELP GETTING ONE OF THESE OR ANOTHER RSS TO POST plugin working would be SUPER appreciated ...

new to WP and so far the plugins are leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Im not an expert on RSS, but i thought that the owner of the RSS feed determined whether it was a full feed or a limited one - not the reader. So, the problem might be the feeds you have chosen, not the plugin.

I use feedlist on my wordpress blog and it works fine.

I'd love a much better RSS feed. Right now all I get is some text and a more link.

    WP 2.1 broke several plugins.

If you feel you want to upgrade or must upgrade from 2.09, check to see if there is an update version of your plugins first - or if not, decide whether you want to live without the plugins that haven't been upgraded or whether there is a newer one that does the same job.

Wordpress 2.1.1 has already been announced with a security flaw. A hacker got in their servers and edited some of the files on the 2.1.1 version according to the WP team.

Just so everyone reading this knows.

    That's incorrect.

What happened was the WP server was hacked and the hacker replaced some of the files in the 2.1.1 download package.

WordPress replaced those files with the valid versions a short while later.

It had nothing to do with security issues with version 2.1.1 itself.

Dunno why you wouldn't call it a security flaw. Maybe the hacker must have tried to change to code to include his personal avatar to show on all the 2.1.1 versions and didn't mind putting any malicious codes on the files.

Either way, at any angle the news was reiterated, 2.1.2 would still be worth the update as it's the current version.

    From that URL:

As you can see, the problem was NOT in WordPress per se but rather in the files the hacker added to the download.
