    Okay, so I am not going to lie. I am fairly new when it comes to actual BLOGGING but not so new when it comes to websites and management. None the less, I am slightly confused on how to best optimize the 'pinging' feature on wordpress.

    How should one have this setup? Use a few sites to get pings from? Use MANY sites? Does one have to be registered at all this sites for it to work properly, or can they just throw a link in there and call it a day? How many pings sites do you have? Is there a good list somewhere for bloggers to use?
