Word Press Question!

    Well, I want to have a word press file to host in my own hosting with my own domain, can anyone tell me how to get it. so that I can put adsense in the blog too ect...

    What do you mean by wordpress file? its a script and you need to install it properly where you what, putting adsence is not a difficult task, for any more information contact me on msn.

    You need to go to www.wordpress.org and download a copy of WordPress. There's a set of instructions in there you need to follow in order to set it up (it's easy, even for non-technical people). Either that or see if your hosting provider has a package manager like Fantastico that can install it for you with a single click.

    A simple google search will tell you everything you need to know, but basically you need to FTP the wordpress installation package to your site, run the auto-installer, and setup a MySQL db. If you have cpanel through your hosting company, check to see if you have Fantastico (which included an automated WP installer).

    Hi, didn't want to hijack the thread but thought i may aswell ask in here rather than starting a new thread..

    Basically i'm considering installing wordpress on one of my sites, i was wondering what you guys though of it are there any major disadvantages and is it easy to play around with to mod it to how you want it..also how to wordpress features in SERP's is there any disad/adv?

    Set it up, read the WordPress SEO Checklist thread linked to in my signature, and pick a theme (skin) you want to use for your site.

    If you want to make your own theme, you can try to learn from using various tutorials, but you might be best off waiting for me to finish and release "Semantic WordPress" to the public first (it'll be free).

    As for Adsense, I suggest using Adsense ready WP themes (- these are my themes, you can try them if you like).

    if u r new to wordpress then its better to purchase hosting which offer fantastico deluxe . u need to have hosting and domain then download wordpress software www.wordpress.org/download

    then upload files to ur server and read instructions inside ur wp folder known as read me
