    Probably with as much relevance to your site as guacamole?

    Having a word in your domain won't have much effect on serps, unless of course the domain name or site contains profanities.

    Geo = Geography, Geographical.

    I'm not sure I understand what types of domains you will be registering, but if it works, why not.

    I can't share this domainname yet.
    But it sounds like geolife.com for example

    Will it suit for online portal like yahoo.com ?

    Isn't is mainly the TLD that matters, as well as your set preference of geographical location that you set up in Google Webmaster Tools?

    Will your site specifically be about a particular country, or a specific TLD? (eg. .com, .co.uk, .us, .de etc)

    Depending on whether or not you want to geographically target the site, a .com will rank on any country-specific Google search.

    You can also set Google not to associate your site with any country;)

    Good luck with the site.

    A name like GeoLife.com would be a great brandable, IMO. I know this isn't the one you will be registering, but if it's similar, I say go for it. After reg'd, ask for opinions.

    Hell, I would've bought it @ Dynadot and asked for opinions... if negative, just delete it and get credit back.
