Word cloud a good idea?

    I am wondering if buying links on word cloud sites is a good idea?

    I currently own my own word cloud site (www.medlineny.com) and it is PR4 I sell permanent links on it for $2 each I was wondering if it is a good idea to buy links from these types of sites and if I am aloud to add adsense to my own wordcloud.

    I don't get it... why "clouds"? There's a lot of revenue-earning-keywords out there that you can use, why do you have to choose the keyword "clouds"?

    The more links the better, having links from similar sites couldn't hurt. I say go for it. Also you can use adsense on your site.

    IMO, Tag Clouds seems more beneficial to visitors that pretty much a staple of Web 2.0.

    I hate word clouds. IMHO they make sites much messier and none of the big sites use them (for that exact reason IMHO again).

    Word clouds seem like an easy way to make money if you own one, and a way to get backlinks with good anchor text if you're buying from one. I don't know how much of a difference they make though. Anyone have an idea of how well they work for improving search rankings?
