    I run a recipes site too and I'm also seeing a huge spike in traffic, but not in earnings. But it is in the dutch langiuage and there aren't that many cooking related ads to go around. :(

    Well, it looks like a one day spike- it topped out at $110. When i get some time today (or tomorrow since it's my birthday lol), I'll start playing with some better ad positioning.

    Kind of hard to determine how well that new banner is doing (I'm not using any tracking programs except Adsense Revenue Tracker) because Monday was the big day ($110), and yesterday came in at $23.55.

    Plus that new ad campaign by Ford isn't really targetted towards my visitors looking for christmas cookies ;)

    I've got some other sites setup similarly to christmas recipes that I'm going to tweak that banner placement, so I'll get a better feel for how well it does on those.
