Woohoo..just scored my first $85/day..think I found a trend..

One of my seasonal sites is a christmas recipes site, and it's been doing fairly well since the beginning of November (5-10$ day). I saw some stats yesterday that made me question whether google had finally released me from the sandbox, but no, it was still msn serps sending me traffic. I shot up to $65 yesterday for this one site, and today at 2:30 it's around $85.

Damn, I'm liking this this kind of activity.

My girlfriend always complains that I'm a procratinator..well, today I can now point out there are over 3000 visitors as of this hour all trying to get some xmas recipes 5 days before xmas. LOL! Now, I know that it's the holiday season so advertisers are paying out more to be listed, but specfically- there's a trend of procrastination here that hs people coming in at the last moments to get something done.

I need to go find some more markets that play to the orocrastination side of things. What else is something people jump online for to research at last moment...hmmm...

How could you make so much, you are even not on first 5 pages in google for "christmas recipes" ? I didn't look further.

Nice. I guess you have a site that is dormant in terms od adsense revenue but then shoots up right about now.

Good, but have you any idea you're missing out on hundreds simply because of the poor AdSense placement?

I'm quite sure you could be earning $200+/day right now just by positioning a large rectangle right smack where the eyes look when visitors hit the page.

You are missing out big style, and it's making me ill thinking about the dollars you're not cashing in on.

I know, I know..that's one of the unfortunate consequences of having a bunch of sites and not concentrating on one for too long. I'm ill just thinking of the potential success of this site once google let's me out of the sandbox.

 

Its mambo/joomla CMS right? As pointed out above, do put a large rectangle adsense block.

And whats the deal with the banner for your site itself??? Put 468x60 adsense banner there and your CTR will be way high.

Congrats! I will be having some champagne on my first above $50 day. I have a long ways to go since my biggest day was about $14.

How about putting a Banner in the center of the page.

This will surely Boost the CTR

 

The heatmap is great, very useful. I just doubled my CTR (and earnings per click are also up) by squeezing in one strategic single ad into my main site according to the heatmap.
