Well no this does not explain your situation at all. Basically if you make a subdomain then there should be a mount point created for that sub domain as well. This location is set by YOU. So in my case I run a web hosting company, I allow my users to create the main domain. Then each subdomain that is created is made as such / == home dir /htdocs/ == www accesible for main domain. /cgi-bin/ == www scripts /logs/ == weblogs /backups/ == nightly backups They create a subdomain called test so now i have: /htdocs/ /cgi-bin/ logs/ backups/ /test/ Under test I have: /htdocs/ /cgi-bin/ The files belong in /test/htdocs/ if they are going to be public www files for that domain. Does this make sense?
yeah i just checked and my vps doesnt offer me a choice of where the new directory is. or else this thread wouldnt be open. i honestly have no clue where i am supposed to upload my files too.
