Hi guys I have around 250 different domains registered, all kinds of things that are fairly niche oriented. Regardless I use 1and1.com so it is not all that expensive but it still runs at about $6.99 each for a year. I did plan on buying them to develop and then sell but honestly who has that kind of time. I am wondering what would be the best way to list them, should I create a basic page on the domain stating it is for sale, create a small 5 page website for each throw some adsense etc on it and see what happens, or is it worth throwing a forum on some of them and just letting them sit back and see if they catch on??? thanks
Prioritize them as ones you want to keep down to could care less. List ones you could care less about for sale. I have been taking my domains and creating content sites from RSS feeds, and trying to get some visitors and Adsense income.
I think adsense income is a good way to go. You could also try parking some...study what people are looking for when they find your domains. If they are really good domains, you could put some up for sale...however, 1and1 is probably not the best place to register domain names for the purpose of "flipping". WHY? Because every time the domains at 1and1 change hands, the new owner is charged a FULL REGISTRATION FEE by 1and1. Again, if the name quality is really good, the buyer might not mind absorbing that $6.95 "re-registration"... OR, if they plan to transfer it somewhere else immediately upon purchase, then "re-registration" might not be a factor.
