Wondering if something is allowed...

So I see that some people on this forum, especially in general chat/underground are allowed to jokingly insult other people. Now, these members are respected here it seems. When I make a joke, which includes calling someone gay (yet obviously sounds like a joke to anyone that understands English), that is wrong, right? Yet, someone can call me a queer, and that's okay?

I really want to clear things up here. People are allowed to curse, post beastiality pictures, yet jokingly calling someone gay which ultimately is a word with many meanings...how is that a problem? I see that calling someone a queer (like I was called) or a fag would be disrespectful but for me to joke with other people that are joking around, what is the problem?

I really don't give it. Calling someone an F'ing A...or personally insulting them is one thing...but joking around is offensive - when *some* people do it...

I mean, take this post: here for an example. I was called a "little queer" yet that is alright.

Yet, when a guy says that he finds a girl having her legs open to be "not sexy" and I say this:

*then posting a picture of carmen electra on a talk show with her legs open*

I am really trying to hurt his feelings by personally attacking him? That really doesn't make sense to me. Not to mention all of the insults that get tossed around here that are acceptable...like the guy who said to me "You must've got dropped on your head when you were a baby" are just okay?

So the question is:

"Are we allowed to joke around at all? Is the term "gay" only allowed to be used in the politics & religion section? If I can be called a queer, why can't I call someone gay - wait...I was called a queer with intentions to be rude by the guy that did it but I *jokingly* said a guy is gay if he doesn't like sex with women - women have their legs open for sex and he finds that gross...right!?"


Note: Don't take this as complaining about an infraction but rather reading through the rules, I never noticed that "joking" around is not allowed...if it is not allowed, there are thousands of posts that should be deleted here and I think I will remove myself from the general chat/underground as it is ONLY joking around...the guy is in a thread devoted to pics of the "sexiest girl in the world" now if I was honestly trying to call a homosexual a homosexual with intentions of hurting them, why would I try to find a homosexual in a thread dedicated to sexy women?
