    Hi,

I'm referring to this auction over here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1909616

I won this auction, however the seller sent me a PM saying that he has sold the website to someone who offered $80 via PM.

Is this allowed according to the rules here ? Am I justified in leaving negative itrader for the seller ?

    Hey,

I'm the one who sold the forums. I will fully oblige to any rulings that is said here. I will inform the buyer to NOT send the payment until this is resolved. Just to clarify, the bidder said he done done a private bid because of privacy issues. It was done before the auction ended.

Again, I will fully oblige to any rulings done. Not trying to cause any trouble. :)

You both seem like reasonable people. Why not work it out between you?

If you sell something here, and the final bid is greater than or equal to the reserve price you set, you would be obligated to sell it to that bidder. If someone is that worried about privacy, they are fully able to make a private bid with the existing system.

There are too many cases of people not getting the price they want and just claiming they sold it privately or elsewhere.

So yes... long story short is sellers should make sure they set their reserve price correctly, and buyers should make sure they actually make a REAL bid if they want to win something.

No idea, I didn't look. And if I did... we aren't going to tell people about your infractions if people ask, so we wouldn't tell you about others either. :)

Rofl :p I didn't really mean "did he get an infraction" (And to be quite honest, I think most of my past infractions were for wrong post areas, if anyone wants to know :D)

Sort of wrote it wrong. I meant to ask if there was enough evidence to warrant an infraction? And could the guy leave a -iT?

I think leaving a negative ITrader would be justified only if these rules were more clearly stated when creating a "site for sale" thread. Right now, these rules were only informed to me when I read over this thread. However, I don't have any sites worth anything so I probably won't be selling much anyhow.

If the BID was private and higher than the current highest BID, why the current highest BID was accepted?
Shouldn't the private BID showed up after the end of auction?

Someone BIN'd/Placed a private bid through PM from, even though the auction bid had already passed the reserve, then he ended up selling it to the private bidder.
