Who needs it? What do you think your "rap sheet" proves?

Islam = Bad , Christianity = Good ??? WTF?

You have bad apples in every country, across every religion. So, you found a collection of nut jobs on one website? What is your assertion?

OK. Jim Jones. David Coresh. Timothy McVeigh.

(Or will you now claim that they are also too far back in history to learn from?)

    Dude, you truly are lost.

OK. Columbine. That was pretty whacked. Or, are they Osama's long lost nephews or something? :D

What does it prove? I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder. Some want to make excuses, others want to pretend it doesn't exist. But what the discussion proves, and what I set out to enlighten, is the same people that spend their days bashing Christianity (some more than others, for example gworld cannot resist a day to bash America or a Christian), suddenly find it within their hearts to make excuses for the actions of others. Head chopping, throat slitting, etc.

Unfortunately, you haven't been around long enough (at least under this nic) to see the patterns. I find them quite interesting though. The same people that spend countless hours for fear of their rear, come out to defend such attrocities with "not all are {insert}", "what does it prove," "but, but, but" and here's a slice of "moral equivalence" to consider from a thousand years ago!

What does it prove? Nothing more than what I've thought all along ;) Here's a hint...pretend it was Christians.

My how the moral high ground comes to life when the rap sheet comes out from under the rock!

    Is it a conspiracy?

Posting the link was worth your comment...it's exactly what I was hoping for! Has it hit home yet? :D

Actually I still think the government new the OKC bombing was going to take place the day it did, and they did nothing to stop it. Just the same with the 93 WTC bombing. If you want to prove Iraqi or middle eastern men were involved, just asked the people who planned it: our government ;)

DP is pretty badly overrun by forum trolls right now. I'm sure that eventually Shawn will say enough and that will be the end of that.

Ah... but there is the rub. What are you willing to do to ensure that economic and personal freedom for all of those humans?

Good answer! Action begins with all of us doing what we can do. Governments play a role, but everything begins and ends with people.

Ensure personal freedom? Well if you're George Bush you'll start by taking away everyone's personal freedom by scaring the majority of people with the word "terrorism"

Cool, I was wondering what Alex had told you to think! Or was it the voices in your head?

His site is a hoot! I'm getting addicted to it. It's like at the super-market when you go to checkout and there's a long line. The inevitable super-market tabloid. You see it; you can't avoid it; The National Enquirer with a picture of Michael Jackson with the caption "Doctors to operate on Michael's third breast!" You look around to make sure no one is looking, then snatch a copy to find out!

I gotta admit, it's a marketing marvel. Who would have thought you could tap into the angry young white male with low IQ target group by pimping fear to make millions? America is great!

Actually, the convincing part is the multiple local news clips that show news reporters and witnesses saying:

MULTIPLE BOMB DEVICES HAVE BEEN FOUND INSIDE
2nd and 3rd Bombs found inside the building BiGGeR than the FIRST.

    and of course

General Partin EXPLOSIVES EXPERT FOR MILITARY 25+ YEARS STUDY on the OKC bombing.

I'm sure you've never believed anything but what the government told you to believe ;)

Imagine that! Google the second/third sentences and nothing comes up. Put in General Partin and woah! Like a duplicate listing of the same nutjob sites that suggest 9/11 was an inside job!

Like I said, who would have thought you could tap into the angry young white male with low IQ target group by pimping fear to make millions? America is great!

Once again, you follow orders from Bush and refuse to do any real research. Is it because you love Bush or because you're to scared of the truth?

I just told you that I watched news clips from LOCAL NEWS IN OKC. If you want to watch them go find a link to Alex Jones Documentary on a file sharing network or do some research of your own.

Actually a 3 second google search for "okc second device" revealed just what you should have seen:

I suppose all those local news groups are conspiracy nuts too

In reality even when Bush admits to his mistakes, Gtech still refuses to admit that Bush made a mistake. In his mind, God does not make a mistake, nor does Bush.

Chertoff's Cousin Penned Popular Mechanics 9/11 Hit Piece

But who is Benjamin Chertoff, the "senior researcher" at Popular Mechanics who is behind the article? American Free Press has learned that he is none other than a cousin of Michael Chertoff, the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

    http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/march2005/070305chertoffscousin.htm

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

And you think popular mechanics is unbiased ???

Well if you believe what local news reports about 2nd and third bombs being found, why does the governmnet never make mention of them?

Uh, so? Not that I would trust anything from American Free Press anyway, but whooptee doo comes to mind.

I think they tore apart alex pretty good! I'm sure he's used to it!

Because space aliens came down and opened a can of time dimension on Clinton? I believe in the moments of crisis, a lot of things are said, many of which don't always pan out.

You like to poke fun at my sources, yet when your very own source you like to use is found to be extremely biased and unreliable, you say "uh, so" :D

Nice DOUBLE STANDARD you have (the 2nd one today)

Yeh, in a moment of crisis, the TRUTH comes out. How did so many people get it wrong that 2 bomb devices MUCH LARGER than the first INSIDE THE BUILDING were DEFUSED?

Someone just mistook a filing cabinet for a huge bomb and defused it right ;)

You could have used the phrase "eye of the believer". Really. It seems that you want to believe that this is a muslim problem because these bad people were muslim. I, on the other hand, believe that it is a nut job problem because I can't blame an entire group of religious people for the actions of a few. (As an aside, I think organized religion of any kind is stupid and dangerous at times) There are far too many people who do things in the name of religion. Some blow up subways. Others post "rap sheets" messages on forums, blaming an opposing religion. I don't do either. There are bad people from all walks of life and none of them are representative of any particular religion. There are a lot of nut jobs in the world. Period.

Quit blaming Islam for the actions of a few of them.

I may not have been around long at DP, but that fact alone means nothing. My red rep along with my posts will adequately demonstrate my inability to think only of my rear when formulating an opinion or posting it. I have not defended a single atrocity, while still informing you that "not all are {insert}" because I truly believe that these are simply bad apples and not indicitave of the entire religion.

I don't need to. I gave you Christian examples without blaming all of Christianity. Some christians are dickheads too. Christianity is not immune to the problems of the world. These problems are NOT muslim problems, nor are they christian problems. They are human problems.

Again, your "rap sheet" means nothing. There will ALWAYS be nut jobs who do things in the name of religion. You will allow them to taint your view of the religion and it's people. I will not.
You seem intelligent, so I have to ask why you are taking direction from these nut jobs and formulating opinions of good people based on their actions???

Ahem. What you appear to be completely unable to intellectually grasp is that in the Muslim world these actions are sanctioned, approved, and legal. In fact, many of the actions were are discussion were conducted by the police and the court system.

Did you even read the cases that were posted? Apparently you did not. It was not some random nut job that sentenced a woman to be gang raped for a crime that her brother may have commited -- it was an Islamic court. It was not some nutjob that held a Frenchwoman against her will for six months after she was raped by four men -- it was an Islamic court.

Please, read before you post. Please, think before you post.

You are wasting all of our time with these ignorant and mindless rants. It is unnecessary. You are fully capable of reading and you are most likely also capable of thinking.

The clear, obvious, and unavoidable difference between the Western world and the Muslim world is that here we prosecute as criminals those who commit crimes of violence against women, while in the Muslim world women who are victims of violence are further persecuted by the social and legal systems -- while their attackers are let go to continue their heinous crimes without penalty.

Yes, under both systems bad people do bad things. That is the same. The difference is how society and the legal system responds to these bad people. That is a huge difference.

It is intellectually dishonest to attempt to represent those two systems as morally equivalent and you should be ashamed of yourself for doing so.
