We all know just how to promote to men, we all know what articles men read, where and how and why...
    Digg
    Shoutwire
    Fark
    Wired News
    Gaming News
    and The list goes on...

I was trying to get the complete opposite demographic, and was looking for a way that I could promote to women. I have asked several women that I have spoke with offline, but the responses where mixed. Anyone have any suggestions...I was thinking of spam, but thats all I can think of :(

    Any help is appreciated :)

Who says you wouldn't reach women with those sites. :p

You're not going to get any good responses unless you tell us more about the demographic you want to read. "Women" is far too broad. Old women? Young women? Female teens? What specific age range? High school education or people in the "professional" workforce like business executives? With higher or lower incomes? What ethnic groups would be most interested in what you're offering? What are their values? Are they mothers? Married? Single? Divorced?.... get the idea? Those groups all look for different things, and you can't market to them equally. It sounds like you need to sit down, evaluate the market segment you truly want to reach, and start researching the market to find out who else is targeting them and how they're going about it. The same applies to the examples you already gave. Those aren't sites for marketing to "men." You'll find certain kinds of men on those sites generally, and others not represented well, if at all.

I think you should look out for the sites where there is lot of parenting and baby related stuff. I mean specially sites where all these Work at Home Moms(WAHM) visit and share their ideas.

Jope this gives you some idea :D

Yeah, I agree your demographic is a bit, er, broad :) Are you after mothers? Career women? Students? What age group?

I agree with this. There are lots of work at home mom sites where you can promote to women. Google it and you sould come up with lots. I also think a place like Ryze would work for networking - lots and lots of networks there related to women and women interests (all age groups).
