Has anyone here already tried using wix? Or using wix as their site?
I find it interesting, especially the themes and the templates. It seems easy to customize.
I would like to hear feedback from those who has had an hands on experience on it?

I've got a client who has a "subsidiary" who are opting not to use our system in favour of wix. From what I can see the site is 100% javascript which seems crazy.

    https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=food+"hosted+by+wix"
I'd have thought that that search would throw up loads of pages but it shows me a Long Island directory and all the other results are offsite.

ohh.. i see.. that's why when I tried looking for a wix site on google I only get the wix site itself.
hmm.. I need your advice if you don't mind, as I was planning to create a blog
I find wix interesting because it is ready-made, and it really seems easy to customize.
It haven't crossed my mind to rank it on SERP, but I want to make money from it, if possible.
What do you think? should I just continue on my wordpress blog or switch give wix a try?
And also, I just found this https://www.wix.com/support/html5/article/tips-for-getting-your-site-found-in-search-results

They're obviously confident but I'd want to put a test site on there for a while and see if you can get it rank for something daft like "doughnuts wearing jandals".

Wordpress is the better route. Wix is expensive, not great for SEO, and the customization is not very strong.

    I couldn't find them using
    new york motorcycles
    new york chopper repairs
    ny motorcycles
    ny chopper repairs

but I did find them using
    ny chopper
    new york chopper

If you look at the cache for that site: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:coI2QOg8A3IJ:www.orangecountychoppers.com/
it's pretty disappointing compared to the cached version of another site I found doing the same search: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:2xQEaNGgW1gJ:www.libertyhelicopter.com/

not that humans normally check the cache but it gives an insight into what the search engines see.

Building a LOT of websites with the WIX platform mostly for backlinking. I am pretty confident with them, very user friendly and amazingly easy to use! :)

I like Wix a lot. They have a very nice design, I like their blogging option and the Ecommerce great platform. But I think that it's too expensive. Now I'm using Mobirise builder as it has similar options and it's totally free. In any case, it's better to try several builders before sticking to one.
