I've read that it is possible to withdwar money from a limited Paypal account after something like 80(?) days although I can't find a source to confirm that. True or false? How does this happen if true?

Thanks, Century. Is there an official note about that on their website?

As far as I know they send out US bank check...
You can email their Support asking where to find this note (unless they don't have it online)

I assume it is valid for UK based accounts, too. Since I am not based in the US although I did not mention what type of account it is. I have just decided to give up on playing with them after endless efforts to get it to regular state.

Well, not specifically find on their website, but its confirmed that the funds in a limited access account can be withdrawn after 180 days.

Also, most important thing, you must have no complaints/chargebacks/disputes in that period.

That's one of the disadvantage of using PayPal. Your funds can get stuck with them and this can seriously affect your cashflow if you sell physical goods.

But, why won't you provide them the info they request for? Surely, this can regularize your account, no?

I've done that for a couple of weeks because of their delayed response each time after sending them the required docs.

    They received:
    - Proof of ID (2 docs)
    - Poof of Address (bank statement, 2 other docs)

Finally, they requested invoices for the 6 most recent transactions on my account. Out of the six, 5 were payments for freelance coding jobs here at DP, 1 was a small bonus. I contacted them back explaining the situation. A few days later, I received a letter saying that they discovered more than 1 account on my name.

So I started digging as I first registered with them in 2002, and it must have been a couple of abandoned test accounts since I was unfamiliar with Paypal at that time and I was just trying.. I couldn't remember any login details for those accounts so after an unsuccessful call I emailed them asking their stuff to locate my unused accounts and close them. No response. Some time later, I got a reminder about the invoices.

So I gave up, I can't play their game forever.

You can withdraw with a VMI too if you are not US based
But paypal will only allow you to withdraw money from limited paypal after 180 days only
