I seem to be unable to to withdraw money from my paypal account by check. When I go in the withdraw tab I am only presented with TWO options: Transfer funds to your bank account AND Buy from over 42,000 Paypal Shops. How do I withdraw by check. Also I DO meet the minimum amount requirement. Here is an image of the options I get:

Can you tell me why you want to withdraw through check

EFT (bank transfer) is quick and free service they provide so take advantage of that service instead of check withdrawal.

As you says that you are from india so you have indian paypal account and as an indian paypal holder there is no facility for withdraw through bank transfer(EFT). We have only check withdrawal facility available.

Which country are you from ? Only a few countries have the withdrawal by check option, it is not open to all countries.

2.5% fee? I wasn't aware you had to pay $$ to withdraw to a Canadian bank account. I'm from Canada, and I've withdrawn US currency without any problem, it says this on my withdrawal page:

"Free for $150.00 CAD or more, $0.50 CAD for $149.99 CAD or less."

Do you have a personal account? Maybe it's different for those.

Yes, there is 2.5% foreign exchange fees associated with the conversion from the US dollars to another currency. This fee is incorporated within the exchange rate used by Paypal. Did you notice that Paypal exchange rate is lower than the ones used by the bank ?

It makes no difference if you have a Personal, Premier or Business account. I think you may not have seen the fees because it is not explicited separated from the exchange rates.

To the OP, if you do not want to pay the 2.5% spread, what you can do is set the Canadian Dollar as your primarily currency. Log into your Paypal account and on the main summary page, click on 'Manage Currency' and Select 'Canadian Dollar' and Open It. Then close your US Dollar Balance when all the funds are depleted. Then when you sell anything, sell it in Canadian dollars and let customers pay the foreign exchange fees and you get everything in Canadian dollars which you can withdraw without paying the 2.5% spread.

Well, you cannot request for a canadian check probably because the direct bank transfer method is available. Besides, I am sure they do not want people who pretend to be from Canada to sign up for a Canadian account and deposit the checks in some other countries. By using the bank deposit, they can be certained that you are in Canada.
