Withdrawal to India banks from Paypal through XOOM is Working. Confirmed and Tested.

    Many People are saying that intra circle transfer are not allowed.......But i dont think so....Before i transfered my funds to xoom i asked them and they said:

Please be informed that within India you can transfer only to yourself, using your verified pay pal account as a payment source, to your bank account. To transfer funds you need to provide complete (sender's detail, recipient's detail, your verified pay pal account details, and your bank account detail) to get the funds be transferred by providing these details. For more references for fees visit us at xxxxxxx

    It takes 2-3 working days to get the funds to be deposit.

    Please let us know if you have any further queries.


    And i used same address as pp and its worked for me well. So i guess it should work for the others well also.

    Its on 13th when you contacted them. I contacted them 2 days back and the latest talk is going on that they stopped this. I guess they have made enough profit with it.

    According to Farhad Irani (leader of PayPal’s business in Asia Pacific), you can withdraw using the check option.

    Farhad Irani says, "It has always been possible for sellers to request a check and this option is still available from the Withdraw Money tab of your PayPal account. It usually takes five to seven working days for you to receive a check when you request a check withdrawal and PayPal normally charges a five USD fee. We are trying our best to help sellers during this difficult time and therefore will refund the check withdrawal fee back to your PayPal account within a week. I appreciate that this is not ideal, but please bear with us."

    I have e-mailed PayPal asking about the check option and this is what they have replied:

    "Hello my name is Luis, I am happy to assist you with your question regarding the currency used for the check withdrawal. Whenever you withdraw money from your PayPal account by check, that amount will be sent to you in USD. Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We value what you have to say,and we know situations like this can be difficult. If you have more questions, visit our Help Center by clicking "Help" in the top right corner of any PayPal page."

    About check withdrawal PayPal help website states:

    How long will it take to receive my check withdrawal from PayPal?
    If you’re in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, India, Jamaica, or Uruguay, it takes 4 to 6 business days for us to process and mail your check. After we mail it, the delivery takes additional time and it varies depending on your country. In some countries it may take up to 45 days for the check to be delivered.

    After receiving the PayPal check, we will have to deposit it in our bank account, the bank will send it to USA for collection through their correspondent bank. The bank will credit our account with INR at the conversion rate on date they receive credit to their bank account from the correpondent bank in USA. I think it will take at least 2-4 weeks to receive the money in the account and bank will charge collection charges, courier charges and so on. There is also conversion charge at 0.25% on the INR value, minimum Rs. 150/250 depending on the bank. Some banks have a max. charge depending on type of account. ABN AMRO states Rs.5000/8000

We accept cheques of various currencies like USD, GBP, Euro, JPY, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars, UAE Dirhams, Hong Kong Dollars and Swiss Francs.

    Currency Period of Account Credit from Nostro Credit date
    USD Cheques 5 international working days from value date for cheques payable in New York
    16 international working days from value date for cheques payable outside New York

    Note:
    Value Date is the date of credit to our Nostro Account
    The Card Rate prevailing on the date of credit to customer account would be the applicable exchange rate
    In addition to the above mentioned period, date of credit to customer account would include transit time to correspondent bank

    Please note that Cheques drawn in one currency payable in another country where currency is different will take a longer period to realise and would attract charges of various correspondent banks as per their own tariff schedule over which we do not have any control. For e.g. A cheque drawn in USD payable on a bank in Singapore or Cheque drawn in GBP payable on a bank in South Africa or Cheque drawn in USD payable in Canada.

    Yes thats true. They have started cancelling all payments which made since last 3-4 days. So now no more transfers through xoom for indians IMO :rolleyes:

    hmm is this problem only when you transfer to self or to others as well what about transferring to your family members that possible i suppose since you can send to anyone linking your paypal

    MY transfer of $570 USD still not credited to bank account.

    It says "transaction Completed on Saturday at Indian time 3.00 PM" .

    I am eager to know when it will be credited?

    Well, i have initiated a transaction through xoom on Friday evening..... The transaction status in xoom says the transaction is completed..... Now what will happen ,will i get the money in the bank or will it get reversed.... OMG this is very frustrating...:(

    Well I got same reply from customer care. They said you money has sucessfully sent to Bank Account. It will credited soon.

    And its true that RBI stopped more payments via xoom to bank account in India. But I was lucky got money before it happened.
