Withdrawal to India banks from Paypal through XOOM is Working. Confirmed and Tested.

Register with xoom with same details which you have used for paypal..with same name and adresss...just send money with xoom using bank deposit option by adding a paypal account at the check out...If you have coupon you can use it to discount the fees...then wait for the money to be credited in your bank account..

 

Thanks kishore but some say they were asked for CC info. in the last steps. Did they ask you and how much did you withdraw?

 

I had last used xoom in 2007 my account exist from 3-4 yrs. I recently used xoom after a gap of 3 yrs.

Anyways, no verification call on the 1000$ transfer infact within 1hr of the payment, I reached the status of: Deposit in Progress.

Safe way for new guys is:

Paypal account must be premier (better)
Funds source must be paypal balance.
Have your xoom account email id same as paypal id.
Email xoom customer support before you initiate your transaction.
Always go for Bank transfer or check transfers.
Enter proper address with pin code and landmark everything correct. Make sure incase of bank transfer you select proper city, branch location, branch address, bank account number and your bank account name is same as your paypal id name too.

I don't claim to be a xoom super hero to know everything. That's the standard method and I always follow the same, therefore never had a problem.

 

i have one "completed transaction" at xoom end and "unclear funds" at teh bank's end - so the money is neither here not there ...could anybody advise me about whether I should go ahead wth the next transfer or should I wait tilll this one gets absolutely completed? Also, can the txn get canceled at this stage?

 

No..they wont ask for cc info if you use paypal as funding source..

When was the original transfer initiated?

Pointless starting a new transfer on weekend. Start off with a early morning 'monday' transaction to have funds cleared by monday evening or tuesday morning.

Also I suggest you wait for original transaction to have cleared, therefore you know you have made no mistake and the process is happening.

 

withdraw today..and you might get your funds on monday..

 

I've actually made a transfer of $1500 by signing up yesterday and i haven't received a verification call yet..

i also used to use xoom before paypal started their bank transfers,
xoom was good and fast, but paypal more economic (cant beat free)!!!

but they didnt let me login, said i had to call them up to get my account reactivated! .... i just made a new account



Guys any idea how paypal credit card transfers work,.... does the transfer add up to your credit card "cash limit" OR your "credit limit"??? ... as in can yuo go accross to the ATM and withdraw... any links up here?

 

Any one tried to transfer fund from Business account to Current account in name of a Private Limited Company?

1)Its asking for First name and last name of Receiver (and says name should be Exact) ?
any clue How to enter company name in those 2 fields?
may be I can enter XYZ in First name and PRIVATE Limited in Last name

2)will it work for companies ?

I too got the same message with my earlier account. I clicked on forgot password menu and new password and the issue got solved.

This is one thing which can give me tension. As we know CC charges a lot of interest if you remove a 'loan' from the ATM using it.

What happens when you try to remove excess credit? Same interest charge and money withdrawn treated as loan or cash removal? - Anyone who has the time, call up your CC company and ask then. I will make a move for some work now hence cannot make a call and ask about this.

Lastly I have always seen excess credit as to have added to my Credit limit and 'not' cash limit, which means I think interest charges on cash removal.

Guys paypal gives less rate than xoom does for each dollar remember that the fees can be recovered in that way for high amounts

 

i think it wont work for companies they will say Intra India transcations now allowed

 

if that now allowed then why it wont work ?
