Withdrawal for Debit Card (maximum)

This is a general question for debit cards. What would be the maximum amount of funds you can use to purchase something with your debit card? Would $2000 be too much?

    Thanks.

I am not aware of any limits on purchases.

Almost all of them have a daily limit on cash withdrawals usually 2-300.

If there is a limit it will be in the fine print or just call the phone number on the back of the card and ask.

The daily limit is $1000 or $3000 ( I know big jump can't remember )

Withdrawing from ATM is $300 a day.

Well, I would think it depends on the bank.

My Payoneer Debit card has a $400 ATM Withdrawal Limit and $1000 Payment Limit daily.

My ePassporte Debit Card has a $620 ATM Withdrawal Limit and a $1000 Payment Limit daily.

$2000 may be a little over the limit but like I say, it all depends on the card issuer.

Over here in Singapore, the VISA Electron or Mastercard is linked to the bank account and you can withdraw a maximum of SGD$5000 (~US$3300+) and if you call the bank up, they can raise it to SGD$30,000 daily limit (or whatever balance you have in your account)

Thanks Eddy :) I think it is a lot (hence that's why I asked), I remember using a VISA instead last time I purchased such an expensive item.. will definitely talk to the banker!
