Withdraw in SBI

I haven't used paypal since dec 2009. During my last transaction, it took about 3 days for the amount to appear in my bank account.

However, paypal rules have changed now and so have RBI. I wish to withdraw a big amount of over $750 to my SBI account. I want to careful that I don't lose any money in reversal charges.

I would like to know if it is safe to withdraw the complete amount at once through paypal as I'm in a crunch situation and need cash.

Also how much time does it take for the transaction to complete?

If not paypal, can anyone enlighten me about the services of xoom to withdraw money and the time they take?

First of all $750 is really not a big amount so withdraw it in one go without any fear. You will get your funds in your bank account in 2-3 business days.

Xoom not support paypal to india money transfer since last few months so no need to think about that.

    Go with paypal withdrawal.

    DON.

i have withdrawn some 10$ last month, just to check whether everything is working fine.
I got the money in 3 to 4 days..
So i guess you can withdraw. and if you are still afraid, then try to withdraw in batches.

First withdraw 50USD the go with the remaining
Since they may Reverse some time
I got 400 USD Flawlessly 3 days after after i withdraw 250 USD
    it got reversed!
I don't know what logic it is!
If you're withdrawing after a long time go with small amount first

    No!
They will charge 250INR and also the reversal amount consists of fees as like it sent from another person also the USD conversion will be as per the Day
    Suppose
If you withdraw 100 bucks (5000INR Approx) and its reversed that
    5000 - 250 = 4750 ---- > Reversal charges
4750/52 (INR to USD) = 91 ---> Conversion from INR to USD
    91 - 3.5 = 87.5 ----> They Charge Fees too!

That's a great loss for 750 bucks my friend! :)

I think its better you contact paypal first (you can make free calls through skype) and tell them about this withdrawal first. Otherwise it will not be an easy game for you to resolve issues after they reverse it or impose any restrictions on your account. Right now you can expect anything from paypal. I think their system has some serious problems.....loosers...
