It was rumored some time ago and the same Microsoft had announced that they were working on a platform based on close interaction between PC and mobile devices. At a conference held last week with the developers, the company Redmond has offered some more details on the upcoming operating system whose development has already started a few months.

The specifications and main characteristics were presented at the conference held by the developers Steven Sinofsky, Director Windows Division Microsoft, and was also released the first beta to allow developers to start developing applications for the new operating system.

The next Microsoft OS will be mainly focused on the touch system, now very large and will take a cue from mobile system, presenting the famous Metro UI interface. It’s not new is true, but with Windows 8 thought everything will be first in line to run through the intuitive touch of your fingers. Microsoft aims a lot about this as it represents the main and first half of putting together computers and mobile devices, today more than ever are taking away so many tasks previously done only by the PC.

A Redmond imagine a operating system can support any hardware environment, Which present the same user interface and that is so simple to use for any user, which will end up the same system is faced with a cell phone in front of your computer.

On the wavelength of Apple, Microsoft will introduce a store for its users, through which applications can be downloaded directly from a PC.

Redmond as Cupertino will lead the smartphone universe on PC, contributing to ongoing functional revolution and increasingly focusing on factor mobility. The new PCs will be smaller and portable, taking inspiration from tablet currently available, and will be supported by keyboard and mouse. So will the touchscreen to make master rather than the “old” external peripherals. The project is ambitious and will arrive where Cupertino has indeed just “sticking his head” with the launch of the iPad. Microsoft will offer powerful mobile devices but with function desktop (PC) equipped with a touchscreen interface.

Unlike Apple, can do much on its prevalence, despite the recent exponential growth in California company, is still its main strength.

The idea of a single system between mobile and fixed devices is definitely winning, disproportionate growth of the smartphone market and the high approval rating makes this necessary and intelligent choice. Microsoft adapts to the ongoing revolution, started by Apple, which will in all likelihood, the gradual disappearance of the beloved computer in a few years.

They start the hard times that Cupertino will have to face with the entrance of Microsoft in this field. No doubt much will make the experience gained in the field from the two companies and now is undoubtedly in favour of Apple.
