I would recommend you the option with hyphen - not for seo purposes (it doesn't matter at all), but simply, as you already said it will look nicer for the visitors and they will remember /split and remember the 2 words easier/.

I agree 100% sound advice! It does not matter, but for ease of remembering. It is much easier for people to remember blahblah .com than blah-blah .com

Use the hyphenated domain to help out your non hyphenated domain name. If you are selling a service I for one, will not buy from a domain that uses that special character. You could set up your hyphenated domain to hold a demo or more information on your non- domain name. Since you are worried about SEO you will most likely be listed Number 1 and Number 2 for the keyword which is a good thing.
As ThePhil says you must look at the visitor perspective.

I was watching some website design videos a few days ago and it turned everything upside down.

The main point the instructor mentioned is that "YOU MUST FOCUS ON YOUR CUSTOMER"
That is all that matters!

i agree. use the hyphenated, but buy the non-hyphenated as well. give it a test for one year. see which one is most effective

YOU DESIGN FOR USERS, NOT SEARCH ENGINES.

I have seen a lot of awesome businesses in my day go to waste simply because the owners became obsessed with SEO and started designing for Search Engines instead of their users.
