With and without www

I am having an weird problem.

My site, allfreeproxies.com opens fine when someone uses the address: http://www.allfreeproxies.com

But when the www is excluded (ie http://allfreeproxies.com), I dont see the site, instead the folders within the index.

Can someone tell me whats going wrong, and how can I fix it??

 

Use htaccess to redirect http://allfreeproxies.com -> http://www.allfreeproxies.com

Well actually that's not exactly what the problem is, but it will fix it. But if you have different content on the www version of the site this solution won't work.

 

Well if the www version would have different content, he wouldn't have the problem

Problem is, he wants both domains to redirect to same content.

And my soln will solve that problem

 

Both work fine for me, I can see both of them perfectly...

 

I also checked the domains and don't see where the issue is.

 

when did you register your domain ? I had same problem couple of weeks ago and It solved by itself. Now both www. and htpp:// work for my domain.

 

It can be an issue if the DNS did not propagate correctly.
if you try hitting the domain with or without the www then change the DNS info (on your side - ie registrar or the DNS server side - many times the hosting serve) it can take few days for the DNS to be updated correctly.

If this is the way just find some one who did not hi the domain and ask them to test it after you wait a bit for the DNS to propagate

And yes after few days your should show the correct one

 

Both works good to me. I think that www and without www is the same? ..
